Behind the Scenes of Our Abigail’s Party Photoshoot

What a week it’s been! The build-up to our production of Abigail’s Party is gathering pace, and we wanted to share a little glimpse of all the creative energy that’s been buzzing behind the scenes.

Last Saturday, we gathered for our very first read-through – always a thrilling moment, when words on a page suddenly start to come alive through voices in the room. It set the perfect tone for what was to come.

Before we even reached our first rehearsal, the cast assembled at the welcoming home of Pam and Dave, who so kindly opened their doors to us as the venue for our photoshoot. It was a wonderful sight: actors, 1970s style in all its glory, and creative energy filling every corner.

Our brilliant costume team, Elspeth and Alison, nailed the look to perfection – every detail capturing the unmistakable feel of the era. Meanwhile, Mike Fear was behind the camera, ably supported by Lindsay Fear, who worked the light box with flair. Together they created images that bring out both the glamour and the glorious awkwardness at the heart of Abigail’s Party.

It was a frenetic, fabulous hour – laughter, energy, and that special kind of chaos that happens when everyone is pulling together to capture something magical. And then, with barely a pause, we were straight off to our first rehearsal, still buzzing from what had just been created.
