Spotlight Theatre March Workshop: Embracing Growth and Excitement

In March 2024, Spotlight Theatre Company welcomed five new members with open arms, marking another milestone in our journey of growth and creativity. Led by our director, Christine Angell, the workshop delved into the intricacies of both onstage and backstage roles for our upcoming production of "The 39 Steps."

Exploring backstage magic: Christine guided the team through the various backstage roles essential to bringing a production to life. From stage management to set design, from prompt to sound and lighting, every aspect was meticulously discussed, emphasising the importance of teamwork and preparation.

Unveiling the 39 Steps: With preparations underway, we delved into the world of "The 39 Steps," exploring scenes from Act 1 that had us in stitches. This British farce promises audiences a delightful theatrical experience, blending humour and intrigue in equal measure.

Looking ahead: As our company continues to grow and flourish, we're excited to announce that our April workshop will be exclusive to members. However, for those 'yet to become members' considering joining us for "The 39 Steps," whether onstage or off, mark your diaries for the morning of Saturday, March 23rd. We'll be meeting in Jonzac to discuss roles and plans for our upcoming production.
